Sydney Thunder have named their 13-player squad ahead of tomorrow afternoon's Sydney Smash at North Sydney Oval.
Squad set for crosstown clash
Looking to bounce back from their first defeat of the season, Thunder will take an unchanged line-up into one of the most highly anticipated matches on the Weber WBBL|12 calendar against crosstown rivals, the Sydney Sixers.
Claire Moore has recovered from her finger injury and is now available for selection, replacing Lauren Kua in the broader squad of 15.
Sydney Thunder Head Coach Lisa Keightley said:
“Our team should be proud of their performances over the first three games.
“We know what we need to do in improving areas from our last game. I’d really like to see us applying pressure early with the ball which will be a key focus going into tomorrow’s Smash. We also need build partnerships with the bat, something we weren’t unfortunately able to do last game, and we lost wickets throughout our innings.
"The Sixers are undefeated, obviously they're playing well and they've won close games. So, we know we'll have to be at our best and play a complete game with the ball and the bat.
"We're looking forward to the derby; they're always a really great game to be a part of and fans can certainly expect an entertaining match at North Sydney Oval."
