One MOORE signing: Thunder complete WBBL|12 squad

Lock in your tickets for our first home match at Drummoyne Oval! This Sunday, November 1 at 3:40pm.

Moore, who made her Women's Big Bash debut at just 17 years old, joins the squad following previous stints with both the Thunder (WBBL|09) and Sixers (WBBL|07).

Entering her third WBBL campaign, the 22-year-old is eyeing a place in the squad's best XI and is determined to make her family of passionate Thunder supporters proud.

Sydney Thunder player, Claire Moore, said:

"It feels like I'm back at home. I absolutely loved being with the Thunder a few years ago.

"It brings back to being a kid and going to watch the Big Bash with my family who have always been in lime green.

"I'm looking forward to working with Lisa, Phoebe and generally everyone in this team. It's such a dynamic group of athletes that I think can really do some damage this season and I'm looking forward to contributing to that in any way I can."

Sydney Thunder General Manager, Trent Copeland, said:

“We’re really excited to welcome Claire back to the Thunder family. She’s a talented player who not only is strong with the bat but has got her bowling to a level where we believe she can impact a game in all facets.

“What makes this signing even more special is her connection to Western Sydney and the Thunder. She grew up supporting this Club, and to now have the opportunity to represent it again is a fantastic story.

“We’ve assembled a really exciting group for WBBL|12, and Claire is a great addition to round out our squad heading into the season.”

Thunder’s WBBL|12 campaign kicks off on Thursday, October 29 in Melbourne before their first home game at Drummoyne Oval on Sunday, November 1.
