ColCap Financial Group and Sydney Thunder extend partnership

Sydney Thunder are proud to announce an extension of their long-standing partnership with the ColCap Financial Group.

Homestar Finance which has been a sponsor for nine years is part of the ColCap Financial Group, one of Australia's leading non-bank lenders. For more than two decades, ColCap Financial has helped Australians achieve their homeownership goals through a portfolio of trusted lending brands, including Homestar Finance.

The renewed agreement marks an exciting new chapter, with ColCap Financial moving front and centre of Thunder's Weber WBBL and KFC BBL playing shirts.

The announcement is accompanied by a video featuring Sydney Thunder stars Tanveer Sangha, Hannah Darlington and Lucy Finn.

Homestar Finance, one of the group's customer-facing home loan brands and a long-time supporter of the club, will continue its prominent presence on the playing caps and helmets of both teams.

The evolution of the partnership builds on eight successful seasons with Homestar Finance, strengthening the connection between the two brands while reaffirming their shared commitment to Sydney Thunder and its fans.

The partnership will also see Homestar Finance continue as the naming rights partner of the club's iconic BBL innings break light show, bringing ENGIE Stadium to life throughout the summer.

Beyond the playing field, ColCap Financial and Homestar Finance will continue to deliver memorable experiences for Thunder fans, with an expanded BBL match day presence, fan zone activations, giveaways and exclusive opportunities.

Sydney Thunder General Manager Trent Copeland said the extension reflected the strength of the relationship and the shared ambition to continue growing together.

"We're incredibly proud to be entering our ninth season alongside ColCap Financial and Homestar Finance, and to have their commitment to the Sydney Thunder.

"Having ColCap take centre stage on the front of our WBBL and BBL playing shirts is a significant milestone for the partnership, while Homestar remains an important part of our club.

"It was a no brainer to extend from our end. Andrew, Ilias and the entire Colcap crew have such a deep care and commitment to our fans, helping us create experiences that go well beyond the game itself.

"From the innings break lightshow that we believe is a big bash benchmark experience, to the opportunities they provide for our members and fans on match days, they've continued to find ways to make the Thunder experience even more memorable.

"We're excited to continue building on that relationship and look forward to what we can achieve together over the coming seasons."

Thunder’s WBBL|12 campaign kicks off on Thursday, October 29 in Melbourne before their first home game at Drummoyne Oval on Sunday, November 1.

The club’s BBL|16 season begins in Canberra on December 16, before returning to ENGIE Stadium for the highly anticipated Sydney Smash on December 19.
