Sydney Thunder have made two changes to their 14-player squad in what is likely a season defining match against the Hobart Hurricanes at ENGIE Stadium tomorrow night.
Thunder ready to strike in New Year
Out to claim their second win of the season, Thunder have brought in right-arm quick Wes Agar to potentially play his first game of the season, replacing Reece Topley, who has departed to play in the SA20.
Nic Maddinson also returns following a broken thumb in BBL|14 and other health battles, replacing Blake Nikitaras to potentially play his first game in the lime green.
Off-spinning all-rounder Chris Green said:
“We’ve done phases of the game really well but to win in a competition like this where there’s good players and good teams, you’ve got to put in a full performance.
“We did that down in Canberra for our win against the Heat. In the other games we’ve shown patches and glimpses of what we can do, we just haven’t done it for long enough in both innings with both bat and ball. If we can get all three departments in order and gather that momentum, then the world’s our oyster.”
