In a huge win for Sydney Thunder members and fans, the cost of rail transport will be included with all tickets and club memberships for KFC BBL matches at ENGIE Stadium for the next three years.
All aboard! Free rail transport to ENGIE Stadium
Located just a few hundred metres from Sydney Olympic Park station, ENGIE Stadium is easily accessible by rail, making this initiative a game-changer for fans looking to avoid traffic and parking hassles while enjoying a night of cricket and entertainment.
Thunder General Manager Trent Copeland said:
“We hear our members and fans, and we know that getting to and from ENGIE Stadium plays a big part in the overall match day experience.
“We want everyone to have the best possible experience, and that starts with making travel accessible and affordable. We’re really excited to deliver that for at least the next three years in partnership with the NSW Government.
“It’s all about making it easier for our Thunder Nation to enjoy a great night of world-class cricket and entertainment, and we’re looking forward to seeing as many of them as possible at our home matches this season.”
Travel on rail transport to ENGIE Stadium, including trains, metro and light rail services, is covered on match days only for patrons with a valid ticket or club membership.
There’s no need for members and fans to tap on and off when boarding rail services – they simply show their match day ticket or club membership to transport staff.
Thunder’s first home match of BBL|15 is the blockbuster Sydney Smash on Saturday, December 20. After last year’s Challenger Final, the rivalry’s hotter than ever and tickets are selling fast. Click here to grab yours!
