Thunder ready to strike in Adelaide

Sydney Thunder have named their 13-player squad to take on the Adelaide Strikers tomorrow night at Adelaide Oval.

Following a demanding stretch of three games in five days, the players have taken the chance to reset and refocus on getting back in the winners’ circle.

Batting all-rounder Chamari Athapaththu returns to the matchday squad as one of three permitted overseas players, in place of international replacement player Em Arlott.

Lucy Finn also comes back into the squad, a major boost after being ruled out of Thunder's last match against the Melbourne Renegades with injury.

Sydney Thunder General Manager Trent Copeland said:

“It’s crunch time now for the playing group. Our last game against the Renegades was a tough pill to swallow but with a much needed five-day break, the players are ready to go and get another win on the board.

“We know our best is close to unbeatable, and we still haven’t quite cracked that perfect 40 overs yet but there’s no better time or occasion to do it than against the Strikers at the Adelaide Oval.”
