Sydney Thunder Development Rookie Jake Doran has today been awarded a NSW Blues Rookie Contract for the 2014/15 season.
Doran, a talented 17-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman, has been highlighted as one of the best young batsmen in the country.
The left hander has been rewarded after an incredible 2013/14 season which saw him become the youngest player ever to represent the NSW 2nd XI. He also represented the CA Chairman’s XI against England and played in the U19 World Cup.
Jake is the younger brother of Thunder spin bowler Luke Doran.
Other Sydney Thunder squad members to receive a NSW Blues contract were Ryan Carters, Daniel Hughes, Kurtis Patterson and Gurinder Sandhu, with Chris Tremain accepting an offer to join Victoria.
