    Key Dates

    All Sydney Thunder home matches are played at ANZ Stadium located in Sydney Olympic Park.  The dates of the four matches include:


    23rd December 2011 V Adelaide Strikers, 7pm

    30th December 2011 V Melbourne Renegades, 7pm

    8th January 2012 V Sydney Sixers, 6pm

    11th January 2012 V Perth Scorchers, 7pm


    What time to gates open?

    Gates will open 1.5 hours before the start of the match.


    Where can I buy tickets from?

    Tickets are available through any Ticketek outlet, through Ticketek.com.au, or by phone on (02) 132 849.  Tickets will also be available at the gates on match day.

    What are the age restrictions for a child ticket?

    A child ticket applies to any person aged 5-15 years as of 1 November, 2011.


    Children under the age of 5 are admitted free of charge, provided they do not take up an allocated seat.

    Who is eligible for a concession ticket?

    Any person eligible for a concession ticket MUST provide a copy of their concession ID or produce their concession ID at the point of purchase.

    Valid concession types are as follows:

    Holders of a Pension Card issued by:

    • Centrelink
    • Department of Health and Community Services
    • Department of Community Services
    • Department of Veteran Affairs

    Pension Types include:

    • Aged Pension
    • Disability Support
    • War Veteran

    Student concession types include:

    Tertiary Student identification MUST state that the student is full time. If not, the student must provide supporting documentation from the enrolled school proving full time status.

    Do you accept companion cards?

    Yes.  In the event that a mobility impaired patron is unable to attend without being accompanied by a carer, one carer will be supplied with a complimentary ticket. A ticket is required to be purchased for the impaired patron.


    What happens if I lose my ticket?

    In the event of a lost ticket, head over to Box Office H and a replacement ticket can be printed for you.

    Is it safe to buy tickets from scalpers?

    No. You risk wasting your money on a ticket that is liable to be invalid. Re-selling tickets is a breach of the Conditions of Sale.


    How do I get to ANZ Stadium?

    ANZ Stadium is easily accessible by public and private transport.  For more information of getting to Sydney Olympic Park please visit http://www.sydneyolympicpark.com.au/


    Where do I catch a train?

    Fans should catch the train to Olympic Park station, which is located directly opposite ANZ Stadium.


    Regular direct services are operating between Central and Olympic Park Station, departing every 10 to 15 minutes, stopping at Redfern and Strathfield.


    Customers travelling from other locations should travel to Lidcombe Station and change for Olympic Park services, operating every 10 minutes until midnight.


    Parking

    Prohibited Items

    • Alcoholic beverages;
    • Flares / Fireworks;
    • Laser pointers;
    • Knives or other dangerous weapons;
    • Professional cameras with 3 inch lenses and larger and camera tripods;
    • Confetti or shredded paper;
    • Scooters, roller skates, skateboards and push bikes;
    • Backpacks or oversized bags:
    • Eskies and other oversized objects:
    • Chairs;
    • Metal flag poles, extendable flag poles and / or flag poles of more than 1.4 meters in length;
    • Patrons are not to wear or otherwise display commercial, political or other offensive signage or logos;


    Will my bag be checked?

    Yes. Security checks will be carried out on bags.  To help avoid delays, it is best to leave your bag at home if you can.


    Will other patron security checks be conducted?

    Police and security staff may ask patrons to submit to a pat down search to ensure illegal or prohibited items are not brought into the venue. Refusal to comply with a search request may result in not being admitted into the Stadium for the concert.


    If you are intoxicated or drug affected on arrival, you will not be permitted into the venue.


    What can I purchase inside ANZ Stadium?

    ANZ Stadium has a variety of retail food and beverage outlets offering a wide selection of products.  There will also be team merchandise available inside ANZ Stadium.


    Will alcohol be available at ANZ Stadium?

    Yes. ANZ Stadium is a licensed premise and serves alcohol during events.


    All persons entering ANZ Stadium are advised that:

    • they are entering licensed premises;
    • intoxicated or drug affected persons will not be permitted entry;
    • persons in possession of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted entry;
    • checking procedures will apply to prevent persons possessing alcohol from entering;
    • intoxicated persons will be removed from the premises;
    • it is an offence for minors to purchase and consume alcohol;
    • it is an offence to purchase alcohol for (or supply alcohol to) minors;
    • Persons supplying liquor to minors will be reported to the police and penalties apply under the Liquor Act 2007.
    • if is an offence to supply alcohol to an intoxicated person;

    Is smoking permitted at ANZ Stadium?

    ANZ Stadium is a smoke free venue. Smoking in the VIP, Gold, Silver or Bronze sections and other public areas of the Stadium is not permitted.


    Designated smoking areas are available. For directions to these designated smoking areas, please see an ANZ Stadium staff member.


    Will there be cash facilities available?

    Limited ATMs are available outside the venue and inside the Stadium. To avoid queues, patrons are encouraged to visit an ATM before coming to the event.


    Are there any public telephones?

    There are limited public telephones inside ANZ Stadium. You should bring your mobile phone.


    Will pass-outs be available?

    NO. Pass-outs will not be permitted once you are inside ANZ Stadium.


    Does the stadium provide assistance for people with a disability?

    Yes. Contact the Stadium on (02) 8765 2000 for specific details and assistance.


    What food and drink can I bring into ANZ Stadium?

    Patrons are permitted to bring small amounts of food and drink (excluding alcohol) into ANZ Stadium.


    As a guide personal belongings including food and drink for personal use, should be contained in a small day pack.


    All water and soft drink plastic bottles brought into the Stadium must be sealed or they will not be permitted.

    Are cameras permitted inside ANZ Stadium?

    Yes. Cameras are permitted for personal images only. You may not use cameras or recording devices for commercial purposes. Professional cameras with three-inch lenses and camera tripods are not permitted.

    Can I take an umbrella into the Stadium?

    NO. We recommend taking a raincoat, spray jacket or poncho if the weather's not looking great.

    Can I purchase alcohol inside the stadium?

    YES. Yes however responsible rules of alcohol apply. If you are intoxicated prior to the entering the stadium you will NOT be permitted.
