Sydney Thunder hit the road again this weekend, travelling to Adelaide and Perth to take on the Scorchers.
Thunder will be looking for its first win over the Scorchers since WBBL|03, after falling agonisingly short twice at Lilac Hill last season.
Sunday 10 November | Karen Rolton Oval | 10:30am AEDT
Tuesday 12 November | WACA Ground | 8:30pm AEDT
How to watch:
Fans across the Thunder Nation can stream both matches live on cricket.com.au and Kayo, with radio coverage from ABC Grandstand.
Last time they met:
Thunder (4/125) fell to the Scorchers (7/127) in a thriller at Lilac Hill.
Lisa Griffith (2/17) picked up the key wickets of dangerous openers Amy Jones (5) and Meg Lanning (1) to see the Scorchers drop to 2/14 early in the innings, however Nicole Bolton (50) and Lauren Ebsary (33) put together an important 78-run partnership to bolster the Scorchers’ total.
In reply, Rachael Haynes (33) and Alex Blackwell (37) were impressive, however Thunder ultimately fell three runs short of the target.
The season so far:
After falling to the Sydney Sixers in the season opener, Thunder has bounced back brilliantly. The young side has won four games in a row and is sitting on top of the WBBL|05 ladder.
The Scorchers have had a mixed start to the season. Meg Lanning’s side has won just two of their six matches, however one of those was a dominant nine-wicket win over the reigning champions the Heat.
Rachel Priest on the Perth Scorchers:
“We’ve seen them come good over the last few weekends, they’ve obviously got some world-class players so we’re expecting two really tough games.”
