Junior cricketers from St Pat’s Junior Cricket Club will have a special visit from the Mazda Thunder Bus next Thursday 8 February.
Local coach, Martin Deegan, won the prize through Sydney Thunder Festival, presented by Mazda, and is very excited with the prospect of the Mazda Thunder Bus visiting Bathurst.
“I think the boys and girls will be over the moon when they turn up to training and find out that the Thunder Bus is here”, Mr Deegan said.
“I would also like to thank, Mazda, for their involvement and making this competition possible. Without the support of this Principal Sponsor, my cricket side would not have this terrific opportunity to have the Mazda Thunder Bus visit our home ground here in the Central West”.
The WBBL and BBL competitions continue to inspire girls and boys to participate in cricket across NSW and many from Bathurst make the regular trip to Spotless Stadium to watch Sydney Thunder play, according to Mr Deegan.
“I know many families here in Bathurst that have made the journey to Sydney over the years, to attend and support our Sydney Thunder. It’s a great family event and a great attraction”, he said.
