Several members of the Thunder Nation have been named in the Aboriginal touring squads that will commemorate the 150th anniversary of the 1868 Pioneers tour of the United Kingdom in June.
The 1868 Pioneers were an indigenous cricket team that became the first Australian sporting team to tour overseas.
The commemorative trip to the UK will also involve the first Aboriginal Women’s XI to visit Great Britain.
Larance will replace Western Australian allrounder D’Arcy Short due to his selection in the Australian One-Day International squad to tour England in early June.
Lawrence was part of Sydney Thunder's Indigenous set-up last season although did not feature against the Hobart Hurricanes due to taking part in the NSW Combined High Schools Cricket Championships.
Both Brynley Richards and Ben Patterson were part of the Thunder Indigenous XI and join the squad will open the tour against the MCC at the picturesque Arundel Castle while the highlight of the campaign will be a double header at The Oval on June 7.
The trio join Tyran Liddiard, Thunder's BBL07 Indigenous captain and Brendan Smith, who captained the side the season before. Sydney Thunder's Development Rookie from BBL04 Jonte Pattison is also part of the squad.
Sydney Thunder teenager Hannah Darlington has been selected for the Women's squad, the first time a Women's Aboriginal team has toured the UK.
