Supporters now able to bring sealed bottles into Spotless Stadium

Sydney Thunder supporters will now be able to bring sealed bottled water or soft drinks into Spotless Stadium after the club has been working with stadium operators Sydney Showgrounds to relax the rules for the remainder of the season.

“We want to ensure that everyone who comes to Spotless Stadium to experience the BBL and WBBL has an enjoyable time," said Sydney Thunder General Manager Lee Germon.

"As a club we pride ourselves on listening to the feedback of our members and supporters. I’d like to thank Sydney Showgrounds for relaxing their rules and for increasing the number of free water stations available inside the ground.”

Unsealed liquids will still need to be emptied before entry to the stadium but can be refilled free of charge inside the stadium at designated refill stations. The number of stations will now double to 14, with 10 being located inside Gate D and four located inside Gate A.

Supporters will be able to bring in one sealed bottled water or soft drink per person however cans and glass of any description will not be permitted.
