Sydney Thunder’s Gurinder Sandhu will miss Thursday’s Challenger Final against the Melbourne Stars at the MCG after a recurrence of the calf injury which delayed his start to BBL|09.
Sandhu, who played in four matches this season, has returned to Tasmania to have the injury treated before the resumption of the Sheffield Shield competition.
“Gurinder had a recurrence of his calf injury in the game against the Scorchers,” said Thunder’s physiotherapist Murray Ryan. “He’s now waiting on results to determine the extent of the problem.”
Sandhu, who has been a member of Thunder since BBL|02, has played two One Day Internationals for Australia against England in 2015.
