Thunder star scored fourth-most runs in the tournament

Sydney Thunder star Rachel Priest has won England’s Kia Super League with Western Storm.

Storm defeated Southern Vipers by six wickets with six balls remaining on Sunday night.

Storm also won the title in 2017 and made finals appearances in 2016 and 2018, making it the most successful side in the league’s history.

Priest was impressive throughout the tournament, posting scores of 55 (43), 72* (43) and 89 (55).

The Alex Blackwell Medallist finished with 365 runs at an average of 36.50, the fourth-most runs in the league.

Sydney Thunder is set to open the first ever standalone WBBL season with a blockbuster Sydney Smash against crosstown rivals the Sydney Sixers at North Sydney Oval on Friday 18 October.
