The second round of the MoneyGram Thunder Nation Cup got underway at the Crest Sporting Complex in Bankstown on Sunday with 10 teams battling it out to advance to the semi-finals.
Power Source advanced to the final defending a respectable score of 86 while their opponents and last year’s Bangladesh winners PIFI beating Venomous Tropoz by chasing down 54.
The final saw PIFI batting first making 1-102 with Asif Ahmed making an unbeaten 40. Power Source struggled from the onset with wickets falling early managing to make 76 in reply.

Mazhurl, Rony, Tahmid Islam and Asif Ahmed were picked from the 100 strong participants to trial for the All Stars alongside last year’s players Mohammed Emran and Labib Mahmud.
