Sydney Thunder batter Kurtis Patterson has made the decision to seek further opportunities with the Peth Scorchers ahead of the upcoming KFC Big Bash League.
The 26-year-old was part of the club’s inaugural side, playing 25 matches over eight seasons and scoring 438 runs.
Patterson paid tribute to the support of the Thunder Nation during his time at the club.
“Sydney Showground Stadium is a great place to play, the Thunder Nation have been great to me over the years here, so it’s certainly something I will miss,” Patterson said.
“I’m really thankful for what the organisation has given me, and the help and support they have given me over the years.”
Sydney Thunder is set to open its ninth KFC Big Bash League campaign against the Brisbane Heat at the Gabba on 17 December, before playing its first game in Sydney on 2 January.
