Renegades Champions League Squad To Host All Stars At Preston City Oval

The MoneyGram Thunder Nation Cup All Stars will take on the Melbourne Renegades Champions League team in Melbourne on 20th and 21st February 2018 as part of a 3-game series.

After hosting the series in Wagga Wagga last season, the MoneyGram Thunder Nation Cup All Stars will be looking forward to another competitive series against the Renegades. The MoneyGram Thunder Nation Cup All Stars team was selected by Mark Waugh, Governor of the Thunder Nation. The players represent seven different communities; India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Nepal and Fiji.

Hameed Kherkhah, captain of the team and BBL|04 rookie, takes pride in representing his community through the competition, “It is a privilege to lead the MoneyGram Thunder Nation Cup All Stars again this season. We have had a couple of good warm up games and have come together as a group”, Kherkhah said.

“Not everyone gets an opportunity to represent their community and it is an honour to do so. Playing with the MoneyGram Thunder Nation Cup All Stars gives me and others self-belief and confidence to achieve our goals”.

Michael Minassian, MoneyGram’s Head of Australia, Indonesia & Oceania, expressed his excitement about the MoneyGram Thunder Nation Cup All Stars upcoming fixture, “The MoneyGram Thunder Nation Cup is a community program MoneyGram is proud to be supporting once again. It has been great to see the participation in the tournament grow this year culminating with the selection of the MoneyGram Thunder Nation Cup All Stars team.
