As the Principal Partner of Sydney Thunder, Mazda are committed to supporting local cricket clubs throughout the Thunder Nation.
This season, Mazda gave clubs the chance to win cash prizes worth $2,500 and the opportunity to have Thunder players visit their club for a training session through the Mazda High-Five competition.
The competition required clubs to register online and then encourage their members to attend a Thunder home game and cast a vote for them.
Votes were cast at Thunder home games by writing the club name on a Mazda High-Five magnet and sticking it to a Mazda CX-9.
Successful club West Ryde Rovers received a special visit from Thunder stars Kurtis Patterson, Rene Farrell and Naomi Stalenberg on Monday, who also presented the club with $1,000.
“Mazda is proud to support grassroots cricket across the Thunder Nation,” said Tony Pepper, Mazda NSW State Manager.
“We hope the Mazda High-Five competition will give local clubs more opportunity to engage and inspire young cricketers across Sydney.”
