Thunder batter's heroics on day five

In a thrilling night of Test cricket, Sydney Thunder's Usman Khawaja helped rescue a draw for Australia in a record breaking day five fight back.

Set 462 to win, Australia were able to survive 140 overs and finished on 8-362 to draw with Tim Paine and Nathan Lyon both unbeaten.

Khawaja batted for nearly nine hours facing 302 balls to bring up his 141, his highest score for Australia overseas. 

The Thunder Nation favourite played three games for the club last year making 137-runs, including a highest score of 85.
