Former Sydney Thunder wicket-keeper Jake Doran has signed with the Hobart Hurricanes for the upcoming KFC Big Bash League season.
Doran originally joined the club as Development Rookie for BBL|03 at the age of 16, playing alongside his brother Luke Doran who would also play for the Sydney Sixers.
He was the youngest player to be awarded a full Big Bash contract making his debut for Thunder at the SCG against the Sydney Sixers in BBL|04.
The former Australia U19’s captain would go on to play four games for the club in three seasons. The left-hand bat moved to Tasmania in 2015, scoring his first Sheffield Shield century in November 2017 before being named in the team of the year with 756-runs.
Sydney Thunder take on the Hobart Hurricanes at Manuka Oval on 9 February with tickets now on sale. Members can receive a 20% discount on tickets when entering their Member ID.
