Applications for HomeWorld Helpers Grants now open

Could your cricket club or association do with some extra cash to help youngsters play and love the game?

If the answer is yes, you are in luck!

HomeWorld and Sydney Thunder are proud to be offering cricket clubs across the Thunder Nation the opportunity to apply for the latest round of HomeWorld Helpers Grants.

Both HomeWorld and Sydney Thunder remain committed to providing access to financial grants of up to $1000 for grassroots cricket clubs and associations, with one time cash injections that will benefit the next generation.

In the past, recipients of the grants, which will promote the growth and development of the game, have used the valuable funding to purchase things like portable shades and marquees, protective equipment and playing shirts. Others have used the money to improve programs that encourage diversity and inclusion.

HomeWorld Group of Companies’ Director of Marketing, Sponsorship & Community, Trudi Busch, said HomeWorld was excited to continue with the Helpers Grant initiative.

“HomeWorld is proud to once again partner with Sydney Thunder to provide grants to cricket clubs and associations across NSW,” Busch said.

“Supporting communities and ensuring that everyone has access to playing cricket has never been more important. We hope these grants will help cricketers across the Thunder Nation, and we encourage clubs to apply for a HomeWorld Helpers Grant.”

Sydney Thunder’s Partnerships Manager, Patrick Hogan, said the help from HomeWorld had never been more important.

“The continued impact of COVID-19 on our communities has left many clubs in financial distress and with HomeWorld, we believe these funds will make an amazing impact within the local community,” Hogan said.

“HomeWorld’s respect and care for the community is something that aligns very strongly with the values of Sydney Thunder and these grants are just another example of that and something we are extremely grateful for.”
