Clubs across the Thunder Foundation Receive Help With HomeWorld

Sydney Thunder’s charitable arm – The Thunder Foundation, has awarded $4,000 worth of grants to clubs in Western Sydney and Regional NSW courtesy of the club’s Major Sponsor HomeWorld.

The grants for clubs in Penrith, Murray, South West Sydney, Hills and the South West Slopes will be used to help increase participation and raise funds for junior cricket.

“Sydney Thunder exists to give back to the community through the Thunder Foundation and its various initiatives,” said Lee Germon, Sydney Thunder General Manager.

The HomeWorld Helpers Grant provides ongoing support to local cricket clubs and associations across the Thunder Nation."

Sydney Thunder supporters also helped raise $7,267.81 during the past season with the HomeWorld 50-50 Raffle at Spotless Stadium.

HomeWorld CEO Phil Jones said HomeWorld was once again delighted to support the Thunder Foundation by delivering much-need grants to the community.

“HomeWorld truly values its partnership with the Thunder Foundation and it’s fantastic to be able to give back and support local clubs with the meaningful projects they run,” said Jones.

“We look forward to seeing these grants put to good use to foster the next generation of cricketers over the coming year.”
