Sydney Thunder’s Chris Green has made a successful Pakistan Super League debut for the Multan Sultans.
The spinning allrounder collected 3/32 from his four overs however it wasn’t enough to help his side notch an opening round win.
His second game for the Sultans wasn’t as fruitful, finishing with figures of 0/14 from just one over, however it’s a promising start for Green who didn’t get a chance to play in his first two PSL seasons.
Anton Devcich’s Lahore Qalandars are 1-1 after their first two games, with the Thunder allrounder chipping in with 14 and 28 runs, while Fawad Ahmed and Shane Watson starred in the Quetta Gladiators second win of the tournament.
Ahmed claimed 3/15 from his four overs before Watson smashed an unbeaten 81 from 55 deliveries to earn player of the match honours.
Thunder teammates will go head to head when Green's Sultans take on Ahmed and Watson's Gladiators on 21 February.
