Sydney Thunder all-rounder Chris Green took 2-19 as the Guyana Amazon Warriors beat Jamaica Tallawahs by 71 wickets in the Caribbean Premier League.
Green, playing in the final of his four games in the Caribbean bowled West Indies international Rovan Powell before having Imad Wasim caught for 14.
The 24-year old has taken five wickets during his brief spell, having been drafted in as a replacement player for Cameron Delport. Green had spent the winter playing for Surrey’s Second XI in the UK, where he was on a prolific run of scores with the bat which included totals of 55*, 155, 76* and 80*.
Green’s Thunder spin partner, Fawad Ahmed picked up a wicket for his CPL team last night, removing New Zealand batter Ross Taylor. His four overs returning him an economical 1-23, so far in the tournament he has taken six wickets, including 3/16 in the opening game of the competition.
