As part of the weekend long festivities, Cricket Victoria’s Blind and Low Vision squad made the trip up to NSW to play for the inaugural Heritage Cup to celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the two states playing one another.
Victoria were crowned champions after an exciting weekend of cricket. All games were played in a great spirit, with the two sides even welcoming Western Australian Steffan Nero, one of the best blind batsmen in the country, to play in the Victorian team.
Earlier this year the NSW All Abilities teams were presented their caps before Sydney Thunder’s KFC Big Bash League fixture against the Adelaide Strikers, ahead of the National Inclusion Cricket Championships where NSW claimed its second consecutive Blind and Low Vision title.
