Sydney Thunder Members have named Alex Blackwell and Alex Hales their favourite players of WBBL|05 and BBL|09.
Blackwell continued to entertain the Thunder Nation in her retirement season.
She finished as the side’s leading run-scorer with 317 runs at an average of 28.82, including two half-centuries.
One highlight of Blackwell’s season was her match-winning partnership with 16-year-old Phoebe Litchfield to secure Thunder’s first win of WBBL|05.

Hales was a welcome addition to the Thunder Nation in BBL|09.
The big-hitting Englishman finished as the second leading run-scorer in the competition with 576 runs at an average of 38.40, including seven half-centuries and five consecutive innings of 47+ runs.
Hales’ consistent performances saw him recognised as the third best player of the tournament by match officials.
He also grabbed one of the best catches of the summer at Blundstone Arena in Hobart.
