Hannah Darlington produced a career-best effort with the ball, as Sydney Thunder beat the Melbourne Stars in a low-scoring thriller at North Sydney Oval.
The all-rounder took her maiden five-wicket haul in the Women’s Big Bash, ending with an analysis of 5/10, a tournament best to date.
Earlier in the piece, skipper Heather Knight had struck a composed 45 to lift her side to 125 all out.
Darlington then ripped out the heart of the Stars’ chase as the Thunder took a sixth win from eight and returned to the top of the table.
