A foundation member of the Sydney Thunder, Luke Doran is looking forward to proving to the fans and competition that this team is one to be reckoned with in BBL|03.
While he appears laid back off the field, Luke is certainly a competitor when he crosses the boundary rope and no challenge is too great.
Coach Chandika says that Luke's strength is "the ability to control the pace cleverly and land them consistently. Very competitive individual you man not see at times because of his calm exterior"
Rightfully, he is extremely proud of what he has achieved so far and rates debuting for the NSW SpeedBlitz Blues and Thunder amongst his career highlights, which also include winning an U/19 World Cup with Australia!
Luke’s relaxed persona also hides the fact that he is extremely superstitious when it comes to warm-ups, training and matches. He won’t say much more, except that one of them involves socks!
Off the field, Luke is a fan of the Parramatta Eels and Captain Planet, and loves a good stir fry.
It’s a new opportunity for myself so my hopes would be proving a point to Thunder fans
