Describes himself as ‘loud, annoying and energetic’ and is known for being one of the major pests in any side he plays in. Doug has a heart of gold, though, as well as the ability to bowl the ball at serious pace. He is proud of growing up in the western suburbs of Sydney, and was happy playing park cricket with his mates before he realised that he was seriously good. It wasn’t long before he was playing for Australia, even though he would love to emulate his other sporting hero in Tiger Woods.
As a first-time dad, he is combining the joys of fatherhood with playing cricket, and tries to relax by watching plenty of DVD’s, although he has picked out Brad Pitt to play him in a movie! Not really into PlayStation or Twitter, Doug is from the old school, and just enjoys playing cricket with his mates and bowling fast.
