Sydney Thunder has announced its Academy squads for the upcoming KFC Big Bash League and Rebel Women’s Big Bash League.

Sydney Thunder General Manager Lee Germon believes the academies will provide a pathway into the BBL and WBBL for players from the Thunder Nation.

“The selection of our Thunder WBBL and BBL academies provides recognition and opportunity for a number of talented cricketers in the Thunder Nation,” said Sydney Thunder General Manager Lee Germon.

“Sydney Thunder is passionate about providing inspiration and opportunity for our young athletes.

“Receiving world class coaching from our Thunder coaches will continue the development of the next tier of Thunder players as they aspire to receive a full Thunder playing contract.

“The Academies show all aspiring cricketers that there is a clear pathway within the Cricket New South Wales and Thunder development programmes for them to achieve their dreams. “

The WBBL03 Academy will train with the full Sydney Thunder squad during the season as well as receive specialist coaching from Sydney Thunder coaching staff Jo Broadbent and Dom Thornley.
