ICC Women's World Cup Underway with a win

Australia opened their ICC Women’s World Cup campaign with a dominate victory over T20 World Champions the West Indies last night in Somerset.

The West Indies were bowled out for 204, with Sydney Thunder captain Stafanie Taylor making 45 before she was dismissed in the 46th over.

Thunder captain Alex Blackwell showed her class in the field with two catches.

Australia only lost two wickets in the run chase with Mooney making 70 before Taylor bowled her, while Australian captain Meg Lanning made 12 before Taylor also removed her.

Perth Scorchers Nicole Bolton made an unbeaten 107, while Ellyse Perry finished on 5*.
