The Sydney Smash will be contested for the Batting For Change Cup this evening at Spotless Stadium. Founder Ryan Carters has played for both sides and is looking forward to the match.
“Having played for both teams I’m really excited to watch a load of my mates go head to head for the cup!”
Ryan expressed his gratitude towards both clubs for their support to Batting For Change.
“It is a wonderful gesture from both clubs to play for the cup. It helps to get the message out there that whilst the Big Bash is all about fun it can still promote wider messages about disadvantaged women in cricket-playing nations”.
Batting For Change are just over halfway to their target of $100,000 for BBL|07 and Ryan hopes that people will donate over the coming weeks.
“We are just over halfway but it comes down to people logging on and donating, the smallest donations make a difference and every dollar counts so people shouldn’t worry about donating too little.”
“As well as donating online, we are hosting an official pre-party at the SCG before the return fixture on January 13, 2018”.
Details of this pre-party and all other details to do with the Batting For Change Cup can be found online by clicking here.
