Sydney Thunder’s Rachael Haynes scored an unbeaten 89 for Australia as they beat England by 75-runs in the second game of the multi format Women’s Ashes series.
Haynes’ 98 continued to Australia’s 6-296, with Perry, Bolton and Healy all passing fifty runs. Jenny Gunn took 4-55 for England.
England lost Winfield in the first over before a 45 minute rain delay.
Megan Schutt took 4-26 with Haynes heaping praise on the bowler and team performance.
"She was outstanding," Haynes said.
"I thought she really stood up when we lost Ellyse Perry early due to the conditions.
"It was really tough conditions for our bowlers. As soon as the ball hit the ground it got quite wet and quite difficult."
The two teams meet again in Coffs on Sunday with Australia leading 4 points to 0.
